Do I need a website to use Bugzy?

Just use your local URL (like http://localhost:3000) when setting up the project. Bugzy recognizes and accepts local URLs, so you can test all features — including visual bug reporting, screenshots, and technical logging — even before deploying your site live.

Since Bugzy can't automatically verify local environments, you'll need to confirm the snippet is added by yourself. After adding the widget snippet to your site, simply check the confirmation box and click “Activate” to complete the setup.

Does it work with localhost?

Installing the Bugzy widget is simple and takes just a minute. Once you create a project in Bugzy, you’ll receive a unique JavaScript snippet. This snippet allows Bugzy to capture visual feedback, technical details, and user interactions directly from your website.

Project access is strictly permission-based. Even if multiple projects exist within your account, team members or clients only see the specific projects they've been invited to.

 Each invitation is scoped to one project, and there's no cross-project visibility unless granted. This structure is especially helpful for agencies, product teams, or freelancers working with multiple clients or environments.

⚠️ Note: Bugzy currently does not support two-factor authentication (2FA), but it's on our roadmap for future enhancement.

Project Privacy & Access Control

I signed up but didn’t get the verification code

No worries. Just log in with your email and password, and if your email isn’t verified yet, we’ll redirect you back to the verification page automatically.

I signed up and left the page before entering the code

Verification codes expire after a short time for security reasons. If you see an error, click “Resend Code” to get a new one. Make sure you enter it exactly as received and within a few minutes.
